Located in France's most famous tennis stadium, the Tenniseum exhibition Bubbles and Balls 2009: Tennis in Comic Strips explores the popular genre of the comic strip and how the sport of tennis has been portrayed over the years and in various cultures around the world.

From the frontiers of the fixed image to the confines of the animated cartoon, Bubbles and Balls pays tribute to this original approach and includes French, Belgian, American, and Japanese manga examples, from Raymond Reding to Will Eisner, from Takeshi Konomi to Charles Schulz. And who better to represent the Peanuts Gang in this international exhibition than the World Famous Tennis Player himself, Snoopy!

This exhibition was created in partnership with the Belgian Comic Strip Centre.
