Spend five Saturdays working in small groups to create characters and stories, build sets, use cameras and sets, and use web cams to make a short LEGO movie.

Advanced LEGO Animation
Work in groups to edit and add sound, dialogue, and colorful backdrops to make a professional-looking LEGO animation movie over five Saturdays.

Special Hands-On Workshop for Aspiring Cartoonists
Join Raina Telgemeier, creator of the graphic novel Smile, to explore the art of making comics and writing stories. Participants will learn about thumbnails, layouts, balloon placement, panel variation and the mechanics of sequential art, and they will have a chance to create their own 4–8 page short comic. Telgemeier’s graphic novel, Smile, recently won the Eisner Award for Best Publication for a Teen Audience.
Recommended for children aged 10 and up.
Cost: $35 for members; $40 for non-members |

— Cancellation/Refund Policy —
If you need to cancel a class, please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel a class with more than a 24–hour notice, the Museum will provide you with either a full credit for a future class or with a refund minus a processing fee. We cannot provide any refunds or credits for classes cancelled with less than a 24–hour notice. |
